Tell us where the pothole is and we'll send you to the right place to get it fixed.

Public-road potholes go to Auckland Transport — we'll link you straight through to AT's Pothole Promise reporting page. Private-property potholes we can quote from a photo within 24 hours and repair within 48.

Where is the pothole?

On a public road, footpath or kerb

This is Auckland Transport's job. AT commits to repair within 24 hours on busy arterials and within 5 working days on other sealed roads.

On my driveway

You're responsible for the repair. Most residential driveway potholes run $450 to $900. We quote from a photo — no site visit needed.

On a body-corp road, driveway or carpark

The body corporate handles repairs through its maintenance fund. We work with body corps across Auckland and can send the quote directly to your body-corp manager or chair.

In a commercial or business carpark

The building owner or lease holder is responsible. We do same-week jobs for retail, industrial and hospitality sites — fixed price, GST invoice, public-liability cover.

Not sure whose pothole it is?

Open the kerb test — three quick checks

1. Stand at the kerb. Anything between the kerb and the white road line is almost always Auckland Transport's. Use the AT link above.

2. Past the kerb on someone's property? It's private. Driveways belong to the homeowner. Body-corp roads and apartment carparks belong to the body corporate. Commercial carparks belong to the building owner or lease holder.

3. Still unsure? Send us three photos and we'll tell you within an hour whose responsibility it is — even if the answer is AT and we don't get the job. Free, no obligation.

Rapidpatch is an independent Auckland-based asphalt repair business. We are not affiliated with Auckland Transport. This page exists to help Aucklanders find the right place to report a pothole — and to quote the work if it's on private property we can fix.
