The Rapidpatch AT Pothole Index — Auckland Transport Response Time Data (Live June 6)

Auckland Transport promises that 95% of arterial-road potholes are repaired within 24 hours, and all other sealed-road potholes within 5 days. We're publishing the actual data — suburb by suburb — from AT's own response logs released under the Local Government Official Information Act.

Why we built it
We run a pothole repair business in Auckland. Every customer who calls us has hit one. AT's published target is real and largely well-met on arterial roads — but the suburb-level performance is opaque. The data exists in AT's filing cabinets; LGOIMA brings it into the public domain. The dashboard is published in the public interest, with a quarterly refresh cycle.
Methodology
Data source: AT response logs released under LGOIMA request CAS-PR0R8-Y6J2N5. Period: 12 months preceding the LGOIMA delivery. Universe: all potholes reported to AT via Report-It app, phone, and online form on AT's sealed road network (~1,400km arterial + ~6,500km other sealed). Compliance defined as the time from "report received" to "defect closed" in AT's logs, excluding reports closed as duplicate, not-a-pothole, or out-of-scope. Refresh cadence: quarterly.
